Fergus is a producer and Festival Director. He was Artistic Director of the Dublin Theatre Festival from 2000-2004 and was Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the Sydney Festival, Austalia's largest cultural event frmo 2006-2009. He has been on numerous panals and boards including the National Theatre of Ireland, the EU Cultural Program, the Rolex Foundation, Theatre Forum and many more. He is currently working on projects for a number of organisations including the Edinburgh International Festival and the Sydney Opera House.
