Mission Statement
AOIFE - The Association of Irish Festival Events, founded in 1993, aims to make festivals in Ireland entertaining, safe and financially sustainable by helping festival organisers develop both themselves and their festivals through the implementation of training and development programmes and by seeking support for the work of festival organisers from relevant communities and private and public sector interests.
AOIFE is an all-island voluntary network association that is led by a National Executive, who are elected at the AOIFE Annual General Meeting. The operating company ‘AOIFE Limited’ is the legal entity that functions as a limited company. The Board of Directors is composed of the 7 members of the National Executive, the functions of AOIFE are managed and serviced by a team of independent consultants. Sectoral Vision Organisational Vision A vibrant, sustainable, professional organisation, recognised locally, nationally and internationally for its expertise, representative of its membership, and useful to both its membership, and others in the festival and events sector.
